What can I trade on Tradesy?
Almost anything! Offer items, services, or skills or request something you need. Some users do both at once. Keep it safe, legal, and respectful no adult content or prohibited items.
How do I create a new trade?
Click New Trade from your dashboard. Add a clear title and image, choose Offer, Request, or Both, set your location or “Online Only,” and add tags so others can find it. Specific and clear wins.
What are tokens and how do they work?
- New users receive 200 tokens for free.
- Earn 25 tokens for posting a new trade.
- Earn 25 tokens for completing a trade review.
- Spend 25 tokens to accept a trade.
- Tokens used for rejected trades are not refunded.
Tokens are non-monetary credits that help keep trades active and fair.
How do reviews and ratings work?
After a trade is completed, leave a review for the other person. Reviews build trust and affect user ratings. Clear communication and reliable follow-through lead to better ratings and higher acceptance rates on future trades.
What are tags and why do they matter?
Tags categorize trades and ads and act like keywords so people can find your listing.
- Choose specific, relevant tags (e.g., bike repair instead of just bike).
- We match by meaning, not only exact words close matches can still surface.
- Quality beats quantity: one solid tag is better than a dozen weak ones.
How do ads work on Tradesy?
- Ads are tied to tags and appear alongside related searches and browsing.
- Cost is based on tag popularity (impressions over the last 30 days).
- Higher-activity tags are more likely to be seen.
- All ads are reviewed before going live; $10 minimum total cost.
How it works
- Submit your ad and select relevant tags.
- We review your ad for approval.
- Once approved, your card is charged and the ad appears on the site.
Can I block or report another user?
Yes. You can block users from their profile to stop receiving messages or trade requests from them.
For suspicious activity, report a problem.
How do I update my account details?
Go to Profile > Edit Profile to update your username, screen name, location, or notification preferences.
What if I forget my password?
Use the “Forgot Password” link on the login page. We’ll email you a reset link.
How do I request my data or delete my account?
Use the Contact Support form and select Data Request. You can request a data export or ask to delete your account.
